See fuel prices before you fill up
On a long road, it helps to know the fuel price before you stop. Turn on Fuel Stations and tap a servo. Its card shows what each fuel costs there. The prices come from the state's own fuel price service.
1Turn on Fuel Stations
Tap Menu at the top left. Then tap Layers at the top of the menu. Scroll down to the heading Services. The first switch under it says Fuel Stations. Tap it to turn it on. The app will remember this next time.

2Zoom in to see the stations
Tap Map at the top left to close the menu. Zoom in on a town or the road ahead. Fuel stations show as red pins with a pump on them. When you zoom out, they join into grey circles with a number. Tap a circle to zoom in. Keep going until you see single red pins.

3Tap a pin for the prices
Tap a red pin to open its card. Under Fuel prices, you will see each fuel the station sells. You might see Unleaded 91, E10, Premium 95, Premium 98 and Diesel. Each price is per litre, in dollars and cents. The line under the prices names the station or its address. Check it is the one you tapped.

4Check how fresh they are
Under the prices, the card says how new they are, like Checked 5 min ago. It also names where the prices came from. In Western Australia, a price stays the same all day from 6am. In the afternoon you may also see a Tomorrow column. Victoria's prices are a day behind, so its card shows their date.

5Keep prices for no signal
Prices you have looked at stay on your phone. When you download maps in the Offline tab, the newest prices for that area come too. With no signal, the card shows the last prices it knows, with their date. They turn grey when they may be old. Then the price at the pump may be different.

Good to know
Prices come from each state's own fuel price service. These are New South Wales with the ACT, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia. The Northern Territory has no service. So its stations show no price. A station only shows a price if it reports to its service. The pin also has to be within 150 metres of where the service puts the station. We get new prices for Queensland and South Australia every 15 minutes. We get them for New South Wales, the ACT and Tasmania about every 45 minutes.
Also in the app: maps that work with no signal, campgrounds and free camps, and Plan with AI. It plans routes for eight kinds of vehicle, from an enduro bike to a 10-metre motorhome.
